In India, Manipur there is a market that is running by the only women .Nearly there is four thousand shops all the shops have been circulated by only women. Man has no allowed staying there due to no one man can seem there only the women. Therefore, it is known as the Asia‘s largest women market.

This women market has been located at Imphal, Manipur also it called Mother Market .here, every day more than thousand of customer have comes there for shopping. It considers that hundred years before this market had been opened form there king during that time.

In that period there was a Lailapa tradition .According to that tradition all the male who belongs to Maiti community they were compelled to do work in place of king. All the male had gone to work at king’s place due to responsibilities came into female as a result all the women themselves began to work in agriculture and market. Consequently, this tradition transfer from one generation to another generation.
